Responsibilities

• Manage the offshore vessels
• Responsible to take care of the day-to-day operations of the Vessels
• To liaise with the Project Team to understand their operational requirements
• Plan for effective preventive maintenance and carry out at correct time
• Plan for the Spares required (Routine / Preventive / Breakdown) 
• Plan and raise the Requisitions in time for the Spares to be procured
• Plan for the periodic maintenance of the Engines & other equipment on-board
• Keep records of the Statutory requirements and renew them before hand 
• To ensure maximum profitability from the vessels
• To ensure that sufficient consumables are available on-board to manage any sudden needs
• Plan and maintain Spares at Shore Stores to meet any eventuality 
• Responsible for Monthly reports of Spares & Consumables on-board and in shore stores
• Plan for the Dry-docking and prepare for associated activities to keep the minimum downtime
• Coordinate with class society ABS surveyors for periodic survey, inspection and final approval
• Responsible for the complete HSE Requirements of the Vessels, Crews and operational areas
• Plan and order for the necessary PPEs for the Crew
• To stay in touch with Crew to understand any operational requirements and fulfil them
• Understanding the requirements of the Clients, getting the vessels ready to meet the same in time
• Preparing the vessels for any pre-mob requirements as may arise time to time 
• Stating in touch with the Clients and ensure their operational requirements are met with
• Plan for the Crew changes and make arrangements for smooth changes without any hitches
• Replacing the crew when the need arisE

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer, preferably
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position.
• Experience in Nigerian companies preferred, handling Technical & Operational aspects of offshore vessels
