Job Purpose Statement

This role is responsible for:

• Driving data-driven decision-making
• Ensuring data integrity and security
• Fostering a culture of data-driven innovation and continuous improvement.
• Implementing a more robust use of Analytics and Machine Learning
• This is a role, where the holder will oversee the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data, implement data privacy policies and comply with data protection regulations.  This objective will be achieved through effective:
• Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective handling of data across the group.
• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices across the group of companies.
• Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to extract insights, patterns, and trends from data.

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Desired work experience:

• Proven experience (5 years) in data management, data governance, analytics, and machine learning.

Other requirements:

• Strong knowledge of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with machine learning algorithms, data modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
