    HR Manager

    Our client, a well-known Nigerian quick-service restaurant (QSR) company is expanding and requires an HR Manager.

    JOB SPECIFICATION

    • First Degree B.Sc.
    • Professional Qualification: CIPM, NIM.
    • 10 years relevant experience.

    SKILL/ REQUIREMENTS:

    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and HR software.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of recruitment and selection.
    • Knowledge of Payroll management and other statutory payments (NSITF, ITF, PENSION, PAYE)
    • Knowledge of Performance management.
    • Candidates should have the character, temperament, resilience, and work ethics required for top level professionals.
    • Candidates should be fully committed professional leaders and self-starters.

    JOB TASKS /RESPONSIBILITY

    • Majorly responsible for all Human resource activities including recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, compensation/benefit administration and management, policy development/ enforcement and organization and supervision of all the administrative activities that facilitate smooth operations of an organization.
    • Policy development and enforcement – Development of company policies and procedures in accordance with industry, national and international standards; follow up on implementation and enforcement on these policies and procedures while resolving issues that arise from implementation of the same.
    • Recruitment and Selection – identification of personnel gap, responsible for attracting the best fit candidates, review of applications and resumes, evaluation of skill sets and recommendations to recruiting line head as regards applicant’s qualifications; supervise and co-ordinate employment test and interviews, background investigations and reference.
    • Performance Management – set policy and standard for effective performance management; prepare job profiles and performance contracts in conjunction with the departmental heads. Set timelines for appraisal and ensure compliance, administer supervisory training, supervise the appraisal exercise.
    • Training and Development – Design and implement training programs and plans to ensure that training and career development needs are identified, and appropriate training and development interventions delivered to enhance staff performance.
    • Compensation Administration and Management – Supervise the preparation of the payroll and its administration, conduct salary and benefit surveys, make statutory payments, liaising with Insurance, pensions, health, and the like firms on behalf of employees.
    • Develop standard and flexible Job grading structure/ Salary band to accommodate all level of staff with career projection.
    • Other responsibilities include Preparing and storing of necessary HR documentations, separation, and termination management; exit interviews, developing of appropriate databases to monitor issues like attendance, leaves, queries etc.
    • Working collaboratively with departmental heads to determine key performance requirements, develop people within the business units, ensure delivery of prioritized, tailored, and focused HR interventions that add value and meet business objectives
    • Communicating the Company’s human resources strategy and operating plans and ensuring understanding and commitment.
