    Head of Finance / Accounting

    Job Description

    • We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our esteemed real estate firm as the Head of Finance/Accounting.
    • As the Head of Finance/Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support our business objectives. This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Management:

    • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
    • Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior management.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Coordinate the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead and manage the accounts team, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to ensure a high level of performance.
    • Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and implement professional development plans for team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and individual growth.

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operational and investment needs.
    • Implement effective cash management strategies, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and investment planning.
    • Monitor and manage banking relationships and optimize cash management processes.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any financial or regulatory issues.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ICAN ACCA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the real estate industry.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, financial management, and reporting standards.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
