    Head of Discipleship / Spiritual Development (L&D)

    • The Head of Discipleship/Spiritual development is a pure learning and development function. 
    • You will help members to grow in their faith, to grow in maturity and wisdom, and build their faith on a strong foundation so that they can then disciple and lead others towards achieving the goal/objective of the church and report directly to Head of church Ministry.

    Job Responsibility

    • Lead and design, oversees and administers spiritual development learning opportunities.
    • Develop spiritual development curriculum in line with the vision & mission of the church, and facilitate the training of both ministry, and maturity teams in line with approved curriculum
    • Coordinate effectively and efficiently Ministry, and Maturity teams by developing plans, objectives, programs and processes as well as provide support that helps to achieve the mission of these teams.
    • You will be responsible for the growth, development, management, and expansion of the volunteer workforce.
    • Creating serving opportunities and deploying them to fill these positions.
    • Develop and recruit leaders and volunteers to serve on ministry teams.
    • Coordinate the staffing and work of church committees
    • You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, structures, systems and processes that enable the all-round growth of team members
    • Ensure departmental small groups are created and functional within the workforce. Also liaises with the Small Groups Coordinator to achieve set goals.
    • Responsible for a viable, vibrant and enviable workforce, providing adequate support and guidance to the respective ministries.
    • Oversee the budget for the discipleship ministry of the church
    • Ensure and facilitate the submissions of reports by subordinate offices in respect to and not limited to progress made on projects, plans and programs to Director Church Ministry.
    • Also maintain and update the workforce database
    • Perform other duties assigned

    Qualification / Requirements

    • HND/BSc/MSc in Human resource, or any other related program
    • At least 5 -10 years of relevance work experience in a Learning and development is compulsory
    • Must be able to develop curriculum / product development
    • Must be within range of 26 – 43 years of age
    • Experience working as a trainer/facilitator in faith-based organization or NGO or any other related institution is an added advantage
    • Good leadership skill/ Ability to influence others
    • Skillful delivery of project management to manage Church events ad programs
    • You should be a committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God.
    • Must have valid ability to work within budgetary constraints.
    • An effective, collaborative team leader who is able to mobilize and bring the best out of the team they work with.
    • Accurate report writing skill
    • Proficient in Microsoft packages – MS word, Excel & PowerPoint
