Frontend Developer at Edves Digital Education

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role in Lagos State, Nigeria, for a Frontend Developer.
• The Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing and developing responsive web applications and software using front-end technologies.
• The Frontend Developer will work closely with other developers to ensure that web applications are user-friendly and visually appealing.

Responsibilities:

• Frontend Development: Design and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces for financial applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and backend engineers, to deliver high-quality front-end solutions.
• Security Implementation: Develop and implement security best practices to ensure the protection of sensitive financial data. Conduct regular code reviews and security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize frontend performance to ensure smooth user experiences, especially for data-intensive financial applications. Employ best practices for code splitting, lazy loading, and other techniques to enhance application speed.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the front-end development team. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in front-end technologies and security practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to define and refine requirements. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Frontend Development and Responsive Web Design
• Experience with Back-End Web Development and Software Development
• Proficient in Web Development, programming languages, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or AngularJS
• Proficient in ionic frameworks
• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks
• Experience in education technology is a plus
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
