Driver at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The position exists to transport missionaries, guests, packages, materials, merchandise, and other duties as assigned to destinations, by safely applying knowledge of driving regulations following instructions given. The candidate shall also maintain vehicle logs, perform basic maintenance, and inspect the vehicle regularly to ensure optimal performance and operation. May be required occasionally to work weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transports missionaries or delivers goods to destinations safely and using knowledge of driving regulations.
• Verifies goods against shipping documents.
• Maintains vehicle logs and performs basic maintenance. 
• Inspects vehicles regularly to ensure optimal performance and operation.
• May load and unload vehicle.
• May provide emergency roadside repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School/Diploma Certificate or equivalent
• Two to five years of driving experience with a good driving record and safety minded.
• Possess a valid Driver's license with Basic knowledge of auto mechanics.
• A polite and professional disposition with good interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to follow directions and familiarity with GPS devices.
• Demonstrated ability to care for and highly regard church vehicles and equipment.
• Must understand and be able to use Microsoft Office Applications, internet services, and wireless communications.
• Availability to occasionally work weekends and night shifts.
