Job Description

• We are currently seeking to hire an experienced credit manager with an established track record, to oversee our company’s lending business.
• As a credit manager, you will be responsible for originating high quality deals, evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, creating credit scoring models, approving and rejecting loans, negotiating payment terms, and updating the company’s credit policy.
• As a credit manager, you should have extensive experience with credit analysis, proficiency with credit software, and high-level analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Originating new accounts.
• Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers.
• Booking of good loans and collection of loan repayment.
• Daily monitor of the loan Portfolio.
• Reviewing client documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to daily marketing activities.
• Grow the company’s customer base.
• Advertising of the Company’s products.
• Creating credit scoring models for risk assessments.
• Approving and rejecting loans based on available data.
• Calculating and setting loan interest rates.
• Negotiating the terms of the loan with new clients.
• Ensuring all loans and lending procedures comply with regulations.
• Maintaining records of all company loans.
• Monitoring loan payments and bad debts.
• Reviewing and updating the company’s credit policy.

Basic Requirements

• B.Sc Degree / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics or related field.
• Should have at least 3 – 7 years’ of proven work experience in in the microfinance/ lending sector.
• Experienced in loan, credit, risk and recovery process in Loan sector
• Excellent communication, marketing, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with the use of computers and loan applications/software.
• Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies.
• Ability to work in a goal oriented and fast-paced environment.
