    Content / Communications Specialist

    Role Description

    • We are looking to hire a Communications/Content Specialist.
    • Someone with strong proficiency in copywriting, content writing, and professional writing. The individual must have a body of work that features long-form (articles, blogs, press releases) content and also short-form (e.g., social media content). It is very crucial that the individual has mastered professional writing, e.g., for advisory or corporate business-related spaces.
    • A Communications Specialist is expected to be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail. Result-oriented with content writing experience for different media platforms.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products, and/or services.
    • Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach, content calendar, and social media content creation.
    • Research and write press releases and articles for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
    • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company's policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
    • Adhere to the company's style guide, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copy and designs.
    • Work with the media team, which comprises a graphic designer and other freelancers, to achieve solid content development for the company's various brand initiatives.
    • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
    • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
    • Manage the company's social media accounts mainly via LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

    Communications Specialist Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential).
    • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role (essential).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential).
    • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
    • Proven social media and networking expertise (essential).
    • Meticulous attention to detail.
    • A portfolio of work available for review (essential).
    • The ability to run Facebook ads is a plus.
