    Case Worker

    Responsiblities

    • Provide direct support and assistance to individual beneficiaries
    • Conduct assessments and develop case plans
    • Facilitate access to services and resources
    • Connecting beneficiaries with relevant services and resources that can support their vocational training and overall well-being. This could include referrals to mental health services, financial assistance programs, housing resources, childcare services, transportation assistance, or other community resources that address their needs.
    • Monitor progress and provide follow-up support
    • Monitor of beneficiaries' progress is essential to ensure that they are making strides towards their goals outlined in their case plans. This may involve tracking attendance, performance in vocational training programs, and any barriers or challenges they encounter. Follow-up support is provided as needed to address setbacks, modify plans, or provide additional assistance.
    • Maintain case records and documentation
    • Accurate and detailed record-keeping is crucial for documenting the services provided to each beneficiary, tracking their progress, and ensuring accountability. Case records should include assessment results, case plans, progress notes, communication logs, and any other relevant documentation related to the beneficiary's journey.
    • Ensure confidentiality and ethical conduct in working with beneficiaries
    • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards is paramount when working with beneficiaries. This involves respecting their privacy rights, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information shared during sessions, and adhering to professional codes of conduct. Building trust with beneficiaries requires demonstrating integrity, honesty, and respect in all interactions.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, or a related field is often required. Some positions may require a Master's degree, especially for specialized roles or advanced positions.
    • Relevant experience in social work, counseling, or a related field is often preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Assessment and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Fluency in English, additional fluency in Hausa and Kanuri an advantage.
