    Business Relations Officer - Investment Banking

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a proactive and client-focused Business Relations Officer to join our investment banking team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, and facilitating business transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial products and services, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will  function also as the head of operations.
     
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients in the investment banking sector.
    • Conduct meetings with clients to understand their financial goals, objectives, and investment preferences.
    • Provide personalized advisory services and recommend suitable financial products and solutions based on client needs.
    • Collaborate with investment bankers and other team members to develop customized financial strategies for clients.
    • Prepare and present investment proposals, pitch decks, and presentations to clients.
    • Coordinate and facilitate the execution of transactions, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
    • Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes affecting the investment banking industry.
    • Assist in marketing and business development activities to expand the client base and promote the firm's services.
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and communications using CRM systems.

     Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience as a stock broker
    • Excellent marketing skills
    • An associate member of chartered institute of stockbrokers
    • Good understanding of the Nigeria capital market
    • Proven experience in relationship management, business development, or client-facing roles within the financial services industry.
    • Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
    • Ability to analyze client needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple client relationships concurrently.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Relevant certifications or willingness to obtain required licenses.
    • Experience working in investment banking, asset management, or private banking sectors.
    • Knowledge of investment strategies, wealth management, and financial planning concepts.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
