    Business Operations Manager

    About the Job

    A well-established Venture Capital in Nigeria is looking for a Business Operations Manager. The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for conceptualising and executing the business's strategy. You will oversee the business's operating activities and will be tasked with driving business growth. About the company: The company is a leading venture creation and investment management company in Nigeria. In 2019, it was selected as one of the 100 companies to inspire Africa, by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and a number of its subsidiaries have won numerous awards, including the prestigious Business Day Leading SMEs in Nigeria. About the role: As the Business Operations Manager, you will be directly responsible for enabling the operational excellence of the holding company, ensuring the delivery of strategic goals and financial targets. You will report directly to the Board of Directors.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Strategic Decisions

    • Develop and manage implementation roadmap to drive strategy execution

    • Work with the finance team to develop and run monthly, quarterly, and annual performance review and budgeting sessions for the company.

    • Monitor financial data and recommend solutions that will improve profitability.

    • Work with HR to determine hiring and development plans required to deliver on strategic priorities

    • Leverage various data sources (external trends, internal data, customer feedback, employee

    • feedback etc.) to continuously review and optimise strategic plans

    • Operational Excellence

    • Manage various Business Leads across the company.

    • Ensure that all systems operate smoothly and align with our quality standards.

    • Maximise the efficiency of all business procedures, and oversee the ongoing process improvement, compliance, and documentation

    • Design KPIs and performance audits to evaluate success (in line with strategic objectives) and continuous, measurable improvement

    • Create systems to monitor daily operations, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement

    • Create tools, systems, and processes that develop a culture of attention to detail and ruthless execution

    • Revenue Growth & Partnerships

    • Identify and create new business opportunities, while ensuring the delivery of existing businesses.

    • Effectively manage existing partners and relationships while actively forming new ones to acquire customers and scale the business

    • Keep track of key developments in the company-related sectors to continually identify new ideas and solutions that could provide opportunities for the business to accelerate growth ambitions.

    Experience, Attributes & Skills/Knowledge

    • Previous experience in driving operational excellence, process improvement, project transformation, or similar management roles.

    • Hands-on knowledge and experience in operations management and process improvement.

    • Commercial exposure, with experience in launching new products/businesses, creating successful partnerships and/or driving revenue targets.

    • Track record of successfully leading and coordinating teams

    Skills/Knowledge

    • Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in any discipline, particularly in industrial engineering or business-related degrees. Additional qualifications/certifications in process improvement (e.g., Six sigma) or any business-related discipline would be an advantage.

    • Data savvy, with proven ability to interpret financial data and leverage data to drive decision-making and allocate budgets.

    • Ability to think as a customer, anticipate customer needs and develop services or products to address them
