    Business Development Manager

    The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. We’re seeking a quick learner who has strong listening and negotiating skills as well as an ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and participating in trade shows, the sales specialist must be approachable and professional to help us extend our global reach and impact.

    Objectives of this role

    • Represent the company effectively by developing a comprehensive knowledge of its offerings
    • Maximize sales performance through solid relationships with clients and awareness of their needs and lifestyles
    • Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales and activity quotas
    • Generate leads by committing to customer service and building relationships
    • Adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field
    • Conduct incisive and insightful research of markets and competitors

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve personal sales targets by developing new business with existing and potential clients.
    • Take solutions and consultative sell approach to ensure customers’ needs are accurately met.
    • Create and implement a structured plan to achieve set targets.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies.
    • Undertake cold calling, ensuring that the number of calls meets call targets as set by management.
    • Schedule and attend client meetings, ensuring that the number of meetings meets targets as set by management.
    • Participate in sales campaigns to drive revenue and increase product growth.
    • Help the business grow through social media product sales.
    • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the account management team.
    • Prepare proposals and detailed costings and prepare contract documents for review by Sales Manager prior to negotiation with clients.
    • Develop new business relationships.
    • Present effective and professional presentations on Uni-Medical Healthcare products and services.

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Three or more years of sales experience within a similar industry
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Experience with Odoo or other CRM platforms
    • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
    • Experience in closing enterprise-level deals
    • Strong ability to analyze business opportunities effectively

    NOTE: The job incumbent will report at Kano Office but is required to cover other areas like Kaduna, Plateau, Gombe, etc.
