Back End/API Developer at 1840 & Company

Role Overview

• We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced back-end/API Developer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role demands a deep understanding of modern Back-End technologies, best practices in responsive design, and a passion for creating user-friendly web interfaces.

Salary rate - Naira 1,054,971 /  Month
Responsibilities

• Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop clients
• Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud
• Optimize web applications for performance and scalability
• Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met, and allow for regression testing
• Implementation of security and data protection.

Requirements and skills

• At least 3 years of experience in BackEnd/API development with a focus on APIs
• Proven work experience as a Back-end developer
• Experience in designing RESTful APIs
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
• Working knowledge of CMS framework Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
• Excellent analytical and time management skills Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
