    Associate, Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships

    Job Summary

    • As an Associate, Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships at Mottainai Recycling, you will work closely with the Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships teamand the Chief Sustainability Officer to support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and partnerships that align with the company's values and goals.

    Responsibilities
    Some of your key roles and responsibilities may include:

    • Conducting Sustainability Assessments: You will assist with conducting sustainability assessments to identify areas for improvement in the company's waste management practices. This involves analyzing data, identifying key performance indicators, and developing recommendations for improvement.
    • Researching Sustainability Best Practices: You will be responsible for conducting research on emerging trends and best practices in sustainable waste management and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in the company's sustainability initiatives.
    • Developing Partnerships: You will support the Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships team in identifying and developing strategic partnerships with other organizations that share the company's sustainability values. This involves researching potential partners, providing support during negotiations, and working closely with partner organizations to ensure mutual success.
    • Managing Stakeholder Relationships: You will assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, investors, and regulatory bodies. This involves identifying and addressing stakeholder concerns, responding to queries, and collaborating with them to promote sustainable waste management practices.
    • Supporting Sustainability Reporting and Compliance: You will assist in managing sustainability reporting and compliance requirements, including preparing sustainability reports, responding to regulatory requests, and ensuring that the company meets all relevant sustainability standards.
    • Supporting Training Programs: You will assist in developing training programs for employees and stakeholders to promote sustainable waste management practices. This involves designing training materials, coordinating training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
    • Supporting Community Engagement: You will support the Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships team in engaging with community groups to raise awareness about sustainable waste management practices and to encourage participation in waste reduction programs. This involves providing support for outreach programs, organizing events, and collaborating with local organizations to promote sustainability.
    • Conduct Desk-Based Research: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will conduct desk-based benchmarking and research on clients, industries, and market trends. They will also analyze client documentation to identify improvement opportunities and conduct gap analysis.
    • Synthesize Findings: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will synthesize research findings into key themes, analyze information to develop conclusions, and draft recommendations for client deliverables.
    • Impact Grant Project Development: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will manage impact grant project development, sourcing, and management.
    • Develop ESG Framework: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will support the development and maintenance of the ESG framework and identify opportunities to boost sustainability and ESG activities.
    • Develop Corporate Sustainability Reports: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will support the development of corporate sustainability reports, including outlining, writing, editing, and proofreading content and other client communications.
    • Client Meetings and Workshops: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will participate in client meetings and workshops and maintain required documentation.
    • Business Development Research: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will assist in general business development research, marketing, and other development tasks.
    • Support Project Managers: The Corporate Sustainability Associate will support ERM Partners-in-Charge and Project Managers to effectively manage projects.
    • Policy and Implementation Framework
    • Overall, as an Associate, Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships at Mottainai Recycling,you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of sustainable waste management strategies and partnerships that align with the company's values and goals. You will work closely with the Corporate Sustainability and Partnerships team to promote positive relationships with stakeholders, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the development of sustainable communities.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agriculture, Environmental Science or a related field with master's degree in relevant field a plus.
    • Four (4) years experience in Sustainability/Grant management/ESG
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
    • Superb written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interface effectively within multiple levels of consulting staff and client personnel.
    • Penchant for service excellence and a collaborative style.
    • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently. Some travel may be required to support a wide array of projects and clients.
    • High level proficiency in use of Microsoft Office programs—comfortable with complicated Excel formulas, pivot tables, etc., plus ability to present information succinctly and visually in PowerPoint, sophisticated data analysis a plus.
    • Demonstrated interest in business consulting and environmental/social issues (through related coursework, previous employment, or personal endeavours).
