    Accounting Operations Associate- Health-Tech

    Job Overview:

    • As the Accountant you will be pivotal in steering the financial direction and health of eMedic Technologies Inc.
    • You'll be immersed in a dynamic environment, where your expertise in the financial landscape of HealthTech or FinTech will drive accountability, ensure compliance, and influence strategic financial decisions.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
    • Undertake the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial transparency and data-driven decisions.
    • Monitor and forecast the company's financial status, cash flow, and liquidity.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to senior management.
    • Implement and maintain financial controls and policies.
    • Facilitate the use of accounting software and productivity tools in ensuring best practices.
    • Advise on tax-related matters and ensure timely tax payments and compliance.
    • Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department.
    • Research new financial technologies and methodologies to optimize financial operations.
    • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
    • Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to strengthen business relationships.
    • Ensure the accuracy of financial data by implementing robust reconciliation processes.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, especially in FinTech and HealthTech, to ensure the company remains competitive.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. (Being Chartered is a plus).
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting role, preferably within the FinTech or HealthTech industry.
    • Proficiency with accounting software and financial management tools.
    • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and standards within HealthTech or FinTech.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
