Accountant at SENCE Nigeria

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Managing all company’s accounting transactions
• Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Keeping track of the company’s finances based on financial status
• Auditing financial transactions and documents
• Filing and remitting taxes and other statutory obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
• Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Complying with financial policies and regulations

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from a recognised institution.
• Additional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years working as an accountant
• Experience working in an auditing firm is Desirable
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced MS Excel skills and Knowledge of accounting software
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Ethical behaviour and attention to detail.
