Job Description

• We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with 4+ years of experience to join our team.
• As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications that power our products and services.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in backend technologies and a passion for building robust and scalable systems.

Salary: 750,000 - 761,658 Nigerian Nairas / month

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Develop backend services and APIs using a variety of programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
• Integrate data storage solutions, including relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
• Integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.

• Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure smooth application functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby).
• Experience with backend frameworks and libraries (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Express.js).
• Familiarity with databases and data modeling concepts, both relational and non-relational.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Bandwidth Requirements Minimum:

• Download Speed: at least 6 Mbps
• Upload Speed: at least 6 Mbps
• A quiet, private place in your home where you can work without background

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of the Django framework, ORM, and templating engine.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Proficiency in utilizing Celery for task queue management and asynchronous task execution
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
