    TM2500 Aero I&C Controls Engineer

    • As a TM2500 I&C Controls Engineer at Prismecs, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of plant facilities and equipment.
    • The I&C Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring the control, electrical and instrumentation requirement of equipment inside the power plant to meet statutory requirements and function properly.
    • Will carry out with performance, commissioning and execution for the string test, test bench preparation and test bench disassembly, functional test, loop check,  test execution, trouble shooting and prompt non-conformity resolution maintaining connection with other technicians and software calibration.
    • The I&C Controls Engineer will report with the Plant Manager or the Team leader in charge.

    Responsibilities

    • Performing diverse technical tasks onsite and possessing extensive expertise in turbine control systems, including Woodward Micronet, Micronet +, Atlas, Mark V, Mark VI, Mark VIe, Mark VIeS, and Bently Nevada 3500. Proficient in configuring HMI using Wonderware, Cimplicity, and iFix.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations in the power generation plant industry.
    • Collaborate with HSE and adhere to directives and guidelines.
    • Execute preventive and corrective works and maintenance in facilities and equipment according to OEM manuals, best industry practices, and guidance from the Plant Manager.
    • Maintain high personal standards, reporting and repairing sub-standard performance and equipment installations.
    • Update the maintenance history of plant facilities and equipment in logbooks, reports, and digital files.
    • Ensure all projects meet technical requirements from a control, electrical, and instrumentation perspective.
    • Report on project engineering technical scope performance against OEM standards.
    • Identify engineering deliverables and assist in O&M based on the agreed scope.
    • Provide control, electrical, and instrumentation engineering support to the Plant Manager for contractual availability and power output.
    • Review and approve 3rd party control and instrumentation engineering content.
    • Ensure agreement with Plant Manager on any engineering scope changes.
    • Coordinate with the Plant Manager for maintenance activities, approvals, and interventions to minimize impact on plant availability.
    • Mentor, coach, and provide training to operations personnel.
    • Address emergencies resulting from equipment failures promptly.
    • Propose lists of essential parts, consumables, tools, and materials.
    • Collaborate with Plant Manager for inventory audits and material availability.
    • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide relevant information.
    • Operate SCADA, Protection, and Control Systems during the control room shift.
    • Execute preventive routine inspections and ensure accurate daily reporting.
    • Support other activities assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
    • Contribute to team efforts and support other plant areas to achieve operational goals.
    • Work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment with minimal supervision.

    Qualifications

    • Honors degree or higher in Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineering.
    • Proficient in English, Spanish or French (reading, writing, and speaking)
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design, commissioning, qualification, and technical support.
    • Experience with Woodward Micronet, Micronet +, Atlas, Mark V, Mark VI, Mark VIe, Mark VIeS, and Bently Nevada 3500. Proficient in configuring HMI using Wonderware, Cimplicity, and iFix.
    • Knowledgeable with ABB, ComAp, DEIF controls.
    • Experience with Power System modeling packages (SKM, ETAP, EazyPower, CYME).
    • Familiarity with engineering standards (CSA, NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI).
    • 3 years of work experience in power generation plants (TM2500 or LM6000 or PGT25).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
    • Industrial communication, protection systems, predictive, proactive maintenance practices, and CMMS system knowledge.
    • Basic knowledge of HSE, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001.

    Control Room Operator (CRO)

    • As a Control Room Operator at Prismecs, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operation of plant facilities and equipment.
    • Operating according to OEM manuals, established procedures, policies, standards, and applicable regulations, you will report directly to the Plant Manager under Team Leader supervision.
    • Be the main point of contact at the Control Room for daily operations and emergency contacts with Tanweer dispatch and ODG port facility.

    Responsibilities

    • Proactively participate in the PRISMECS health, safety, and environment program.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations in the power generation plant industry.
    • Act as the PTW Competent Person, reviewing all PTW and LOTO procedures before work activities begin.
    • Collaborate with HSE, following their directives or guidelines.
    • Execute scheduled work during the shift, including operating SCADA, Protection and Control Systems, fuel truck offloading, preventive routine inspections, and general facilities maintenance.
    • Promptly communicate incidents, accidents, injuries, environmental violations, equipment failures, and other events requiring immediate action during the shift.
    • Use and care for tools and auxiliary equipment correctly.
    • Monitor HMI GYs and BOP monitors, reporting any discrepancies or alarms to the Team Leader.
    • Perform hourly readings in all GTs and BOP equipment, reporting any abnormalities to the Team Leader.
    • Maintain cleanliness in the CCR and ensure a smooth transition to the incoming shift.
    • Adhere to energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations.
    • Assist in the implementation of quality and productivity initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in operating similar power plants.
    • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience working with TM2500+ generation 8 gas turbines.
    • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
    • Reporting knowledge and experience.
    • Capability to work in rotation shifts.
    • Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Knowledge.
    • HSE General Basic Knowledge.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 (a plus).
    • Fuel handling applicable standards knowledge and experience.

    Maintenance Manager

    • The Maintenance Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, is accountable for the overall maintenance and equipment performance of the power plant.
    • This role involves leading the maintenance schedule and execution in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements, overseeing the maintenance budget, and ensuring accountability for onsite equipment and assets.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities and performance for the site.
    • Execute HSE Policies and conduct required assessments, promoting a proactive HSE culture.
    • Ensure compliance with corporate, customer, and local HSE regulations and standards.
    • Uphold company policies, code of conduct, SOPs, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
    • Ensure safety and security of employees and contractors.
    • Optimize performance and longevity of company assets through proactive maintenance planning and execution.
    • Lead corrective actions for equipment failures, customer complaints, etc., in collaboration with plant team members.
    • Generate reports on plant maintenance performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Manage demand planning for the supply chain to maintain continuous and uninterrupted operations.
    • Develop and maintain a well-organized inventory of assets and spares for efficient inventory audits and value tracking.

    Qualifications

    • Required degree in Engineering (Business degrees will be considered).
    • Preferred advanced degrees in Engineering or Business, and Engineering licenses.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing power plants.
    • Proven 5 years of experience associated with GE TM2500+ Gen8 gas turbine technology.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
    • Proficiency in English for speaking, writing, and reading; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
    • Ability and willingness to live and travel as required within the project country and region.
