    Manager, Switching Operations

    The Role

    • As a Manager, Switching Operations your primary responsibility is to ensure that all transactions through our different products get to their destination through the best available route, selecting from the variety of providers available.
    • Simply put, when our customers initiate payments, we ensure the transaction gets to the provider and update the provide response on our system.
    • Also ensure our systems are up, to always serve this purpose.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Support Payout/Funds transfer processing in a timely manner.
    • Monitor transactions and ensure all rails are functioning optimally.
    • Monitors transactions and for signs of fraudulent activity, promptly escalates potential issues to the fraud team for investigation and resolution.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve customer related issues.
    • Handles escalations to the team lead or relevant stakeholders and ensures resolution in line with relevant SLA.
    • Working with the CX and TAM team in investigating and resolving complaints relating to payout through assigned resolution channels.
    • Assists with process improvement tasks such as creating processes, tracking progress and updating stakeholders.
    • Transaction Reconciliation.
    • Proactively think of strategic methods to improve processes.
    • Any other duties assigned Process Improvement
    • Work with all sub-teams to identify various touchpoints and design processes to optimize same
    • Continuous evaluation of current processes vis-à-vis best industry practice

    Required competency and skillset to be a waver

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field required.
    • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in switching operations, preferably in the financial technology or payments industry.
    • Understanding of the payment industry.
    • Open-Mindedness and Result Oriented
    • Ability to work with Microsoft suite.
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
    • Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to identify errors.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines.
    • Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision
    • High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standard

    Senior Engineer, Scrum

    The role:

    •  Flutterwave is looking for an experienced scrum master to oversee and guide scrum teams.
    • The scrum master's responsibilities include ensuring that development teams follow scrum framework values and agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
    • A scrum master that has a firm grasp of agile practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams.
    • An outstanding scrum master with excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.

    • Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.

    • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups

    • Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
    • Effectively tracking and communicating project progress, deliverables, and financials.
    • Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders.

    Required competency and skillset to be a waver:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
    • Certified scrum master, SAFe preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience as an Agile coach or scrum master.
    • Expertise in agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
    • Proficient in using JIRA to effectively manage Agile based projects
    • Excellent people and project management skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with software development

    Required Competency And Skillset To Be a Waver

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field required.
    • Minimum 4-6 years of proven experience in enterprise account management, preferably in the financial technology industry
    • Strong understanding of payment solutions, financial services, and e-commerce platforms.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex business requirements and propose suitable solutions
    • Result-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
