    Brand Manager – BF Portfolio

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • The Brand Manager for the White Spirits & Super Premium Portfolio will be responsible for the part of the BF Portfolio that includes White Spirits (Gin, Tequila, Rum) and also the Super Premium Whiskeys category of the portfolio.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops & Implements Brand Plans based on CCHBC’s and Brand Owners Consumer Strategy
    • Develops and executes all ATL / Digital Engaging Communication
    • Evaluates & measures marketing activities including coordination of major PR events and launches as well as high profile events for consumers, trade and media.
    • Drive the luxury partnering initiatives across the brand portfolio with like-minded aspirational brands externally.
    • Participates in Commercial Planning to align brand priorities.
    • Establish and maintain high-level, executive contact with accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships.
    • Develops routines and aligns processes with brand owner marketing department.
    • Builds effective relationships with advertising agencies.
    • Create new opportunities for product development and implement them within the agreed time
    • Drives Innovation behind specific Brands
    • Identifies opportunities through market insights & Field Sales feedback from the market and drives initiatives leading to profitability.
    • Ensures successful launching of all new products/categories & best practices sharing to total team.
    • Builds alliances with key cooperating departments through common routines (PS Trade Mkt / Off Trade Team / NKA Team /e-Com)
    • Develops a cross-functional team approach and routines (Commercial finance, SC, Procurement and ComEx) to achieve results’.
    • Develops and manages the development of the respective Brand Portfolio Annual Business Plan
    • Manages performance at Brand level (Volume, NSR, SOM, Consumer KBIs)
    • Manage brand budget while ensuring achievement of relevant targets.
    • Develops and cascades brand strategy to the total commercial team and leads upwards and towards external stakeholders to drive relevant initiatives.
    • Develops internal communication campaign for informing & engaging stakeholders (new launches, campaigns & brand events)
    • Establishes performance management routines with marketing & customer insights teams.
    • Coordinate the introduction of new products from the development phase and after the launch.
    • Achieve agreed level of brand contribution through active monitoring and control of pricing, trade offers and DME (IMAP) spends.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Alcohol Category Consumer Marketing Capabilities
    • On-Trade (HORECA) Leadership and acumen
    • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years brand marketing and/or sales experience in a consumer goods environment.
    • Spirits/ Beverage Alcohol industry experience is mandatory.
    • Overall commercial understanding & business judgment – decision making quality.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing, executing, and managing brand plans especially on Super Premium Brands
    • Experience planning and/or activating against multicultural consumers: having an “Inclusive Marketing” mindset.

    Brand Ambassador – BF Portfolio

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • The Brand Ambassador’s role is to engage and build strategic partnerships with top influencer groups, consumers, and media, by bringing JACK DANIELS and the total Brown Forman Portfolio “world” to life in their key city. They are required to inspire, educate, and recruit these audiences with unique and impactful experiences.
    • As a secondary focus, The Brand Ambassador supports major brand initiatives and helps deliver targeted portfolio performance and trade education in priority accounts.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Consumer-Facing:

    • Acting as our in-market authority on JD & the whole BF Portfolio by conducting whisky tastings and hosting unique brand experiences
    • Supporting the planning and execution of experiential events
    • Representing JACK DANIELS at priority media, consumer, and trade events
    • Supporting the travel retail team by training staff and hosting key consumer and media events in priority airports

    Influencer & Media Outreach:

    • Influencer engagement in Nigeria and beyond
    • Building influencer networks, including collectors and professional groups
    • Creating and developing a JACK DANIELS social media following, adhering to brand social media guidelines
    • Working with retained agencies to engage and build relations with relevant media and influencers.

    Trade Facing:

    • Delivering bespoke education and building elevated brand confidence within priority trade accounts, inspiring brand advocacy, and ensuring the front-of-mind presence
    • Working collaboratively to identify opportunities and recommend change as required
    • Building relationships and trust of key decision makers (e.g., beverage directors, buyers, bar staff)
    • Creating and demonstrating JACK DANIELS & BF Portfolio serves and rituals to prioritize On-trade accounts.

    Others:

    • Working with the local Marketing team to implement a range of marketing activations and communications that are in line with brand DNA and objectives.
    • Collaborating with the regional (working closely with the Brand Education Manager) & global ambassador community and actively contributing as part of the global education and marketeer network
    • Identifying key brand-building initiatives in collaboration with local commercial teams
    • Adherence to consumer data protection protocols via regular and appropriate use of CRM tools for managing relationships, communication and information.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience working with Premium and Super Premium brand(s) and their clientele.
    • 5-7 years of experience in brand/portfolio management in a similar business
    • Socially connected with Influencer communities in key markets
    • Advanced social media skills (Facebook, Instagram etc)
    • Category, brand and portfolio strategy expertise
    • High net worth individual interaction and influence methods
    • Must be of an age that adheres to Brown Forman Marketing Code of Conduct for responsible alcohol marketing
