    Store Accountant

    • As part of the Production Support team the Post holder will be responsible for verifying, entering, and maintaining raw materials’ information on the Excel Spreadsheet and will ensure the continuous development of inventory/consumption Information and reporting to enable the best quality services.
    • The work of an incumbent is subject to review by a higher official.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyzes administrative problems, makes recommendations for solution to superior.
    • Assist in maintaining inventory updates and location in the database.
    • Plans, assigns and reviews the work of technical and clerical staff engaged in general or specialized duties.
    • Prepares the paperwork for the superior.
    • Assists in the preparation of the organisation or departmental budget and maintains records pertaining to the organization.
    • Maintain inventory reports using both Word and Excel, distributing them to other staff members as necessary.
    • Enter inbound and outbound inventory for tracking.
    • Data entry of account information.
    • Maintains organisation in inventory areas, to make best use of available storage space.
    • Represent superior in contact with the suppliers or in meetings with other organisations, when requested to do so.
    • Conducts physical inventory and verification check of property.
    • Classify items within the existing classification framework and allocate inventory numbers accordingly.
    • Lifts heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) safely using proper lifting techniques.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree/HND/OND with a major in Accounting or Finance or in a field related to the above-described duties and three (3) years of professional experience in the same.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and costing principles
    • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively communicate and the ability to interact with individuals across multiple levels of the Company
    • Demonstrated strong computer literacy, MS Excel in particular.
