Facility Maintenance Manager at MG Vowgas Group

Role Description

• Plan and coordinate all installations (Air conditioners, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
• Manage the upkeep of equipment, heavy duty machines, work tools and supplies to meet Company standards and health and safety standards.
• Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
• Supervise all Facilities maintenance staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, electricians, mechanics, etc.) and external contractors.
• Coordinate to ensure allocation of office space according to needs is met.
• Make sure all company assets are numbered and tagged and all records of company assets kept.
• Keep record and financial and non-financial records.
• Perform analysis and forecasting.
• Give weekly report on all maintenance of facilities.
• All other duties as may be required by Company for a facility maintenance Manager.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
• BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
• Relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
